Raking Leaves
My cute little Bug was helping me rake leaves.. Really, look how hard she is working! Love this kid.

Have you done your Family History?
Shawn and I decided to take McKenzie to the LDS History and Art Museum this week.. Ok call me a loser but I LOVED this place! If you've never gone, you must! It has many cool archives of our faith, and lots of information! I was SOO excited to see a certificate from the Relief Society from the BINGHAM WARD.. that's right, my family history got a ward way back when! If you can't read it.. squint.. it says Bingham.. Wo .. I am so famous. Oh, and the Bingham Copper Mine, yea that was in my fam too. Anyway, here are some great pics of our little down town adventure.
These are the casts of Joseph and Hyrum Smith just after they died. I for some reason thought this was absolutly amazing.. Joseph's face seems to be depicted so well in every painting of him.
This is a letter written by Joseph Smith, and 2 jail bars from Liberty Jail. The letter was later turned in D&C 121-123. If you don't remember off hand what those sections say, check it out... "All these things shall be for thy good... The Son of Man have descended below them all. Art thou greater than he?" Ahh! Some of my favorite scripture!
Some of the origional manuscript from Joseph's translations of the Book of Mormon.
Hyrum Smith's watch that saved him from one of the first deadly bullets, at the Martyrdom at Carthage Jail. You can still see the bullet hole.
A very old Picture of the Nauvoo Temple. Looks like a painting but it's not.
I thank my ancestors for not only doing what they did in great faith in crossing the plains, to suffer much persecution, and endure to the end, but also for keeping these amazing artifacts that we can embrace, remember, enjoy, and share with our posterity. We must never forget their great faith, and live as they lived. With unfaltering devotion to their God and Religion. I only hope that I too can do amazing things that will make my lineage proud of me and embrace what I leave behind. What will you leave behind?

Elephants on Parade!
My good ol friend Jennifer, that I grew up with in New Mexico, invited McKenzie and I to go see the Ringling Brothers Circus and their elephants walk through the streets at Gateway. It was so fun seeing all the animals and acrobats that will be at the circus of which we won't be going to... Maybe one day when McKenzie can say elephant.

Even the Cops dressed up and acted like they were having a good time!
And a couple Random pics.. Shawn and I took McKenzie up the canyon for a campfire and some good ol fashion foil dinners. They came out pretty good, I was actually pretty proud of myself!
And last but not least, I am SOO excites McKenzie has I think 5 strands of hair just long enough to put in a clip. Love it!

Pit Stop
Sorry this blog is a little late.. We've been a tad busy trying to get life back to normal since the move from Saint Paul... But before we made it home to Salt Lake, we stopped in Mount Rushmore to make some memories, and finally found some heads bigger than our own! Just kidding McKenzie... Mommy loves you..

Goodbye Saint Paul
Well, we finally made it through the summer. We made some great new friends and incredible memories, we get to take with us. Now we are ready to start the next new exciting adventure! Thanks so much to all our friends and family who supported us, we love you, you rock! Now let's get the heck outta Dodge!
